December Revolutionary Member Spotlight – Dr. Michael Hynes

Monthly we will be spotlighting a member of the Creative Revolution. This will offer us all a way to get to know each other better, inspire each other, and appreciate the work we are each doing offline.

This month’s member spotlight is on Dr. Michael Hynes (@michaelhynes), Superintendent of School in Port Washington, NY, USA. Additionally, he is a Fulbright Specialist and an associate professor of education and leadership at Long Island University and Stony Brook University. His mission is to spread the message of the importance of a holistic approach to educating children. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Bethany College and doctorate in educational administration from Dowling College.

We are so honored that Dr. Hynes is a member of this community, and so grateful for the work he does daily to impact students and educational outcomes. We hope you enjoy reading and are inspired by the answers to his spotlight survey.

Why did you join TCR?

I joined TCR because I not only believe in the mission, but believe education at its core is under attack by people who know very little to nothing about it. We need an educational revolution and creativity is a large part of it.
